Challenge Journal of Structural Mechanics

cjsmec.challengejournal.com

Challenge Journal of Structural Mechanics is an international, quarterly published and open access scholarly journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles, case studies, short communications, discussions, book reviews, letters to the editor and a diary on international events related to any aspect of structural engineering.

Primary aim of CJSMEC is to encourage academic challenges in structural mechanics and materials disciplines to seek for the global truth. Therefore, the Journal intends to publish at least a review or discussion as a challenge to previously published papers at each issue. A double blind peer-review policy is followed in order to increase the scientific quality of the published papers.

DOI Assignment

TULPAR Academic Publishing has completed the agreement with Crossref. DOIs have been assigned to the published articles in Challenge Journal of Structural Mechanics and future articles will be published directly with their DOIs.

Furthermore, more journals are incoming within our publishing group. We kindly ask you to recommend Challenge Journals to your colleagues and encourage them to submit their high quality papers to the journals.

Scope of CJSMEC

Contributions may range from new methods to novel applications of existing methods to gain understanding of the structural based mechanical behavior of new and advanced engineering systems.

The scope of CJSMEC encompasses, but is not restricted to the following areas. Papers making a fundamental contribution focused at the following topics are welcome.

  • Design of civil, building and mechanical structures
  • Analytical and computational modelling methods
  • Structural optimization and computation
  • Structural reliability and stability
  • Earthquake engineering
  • Seismic hazard studies
  • Earthquake scenarios
  • Computational mechanics
  • Rigid-body mechanics
  • Dynamic impact mechanics
  • Fracture mechanics
  • Effects of wind and wave loadings on structures
  • Effects of fire and blast on structures
  • Bridges and special structures
  • Concrete, masonry, steel and composite structures
  • Damage and failure mechanisms in materials and structures
  • Structure-fluid-soil interaction
  • Structural repairing and strengthening methods

IMOsteel7: 7th International Symposium on Steel Structures

7th International Symposium on Steel Structures to be held in Gaziantep, Turkey, October 26-28, 2017. IMOsteel7 is organized under the auspices of the Chamber of Civil Engineers (IMO), Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB). Symposium will focus in all aspects of steel structures. During the conference special symposia covering major areas of research activity organized by members of the Scientific Advisory Board will take place.

Papers presented in IMOsteel7 which are focused on structural mechanics studies, will be considered for publication in Challenge Journal of Structural Mechanics. Authors may submit their full length papers via online submission system or send to cjsmec@challengejournal.com via e-mail. Regarding to the count and the diversity of the studies, papers will be published in a special issue or in the regular issues in an appropriate calendar.

* In case authors wish to submit their papers via online submission system, please select "IMOsteel7" as the Journal Section from the drop-down menu.

ICF14: 14th International Congress on Fracture

14th International Congress on Fracture (ICF14) to be held in the island of Rhodes, Greece, June 18-23, 2017. ICF is organized under the auspices of the International Congress on Fracture - The World Academy of Structural Integrity (ICF-WASI). ICF14 will focus in all aspects of structural integrity with the objective of improving the safety and performance of engineering structures, components, systems and their associated materials. ICF14 will include two main tracks devoted to failure analysis of engineering materials and structures, and nanomaterials and nanostructures (MEMS and NEMS). Other topics include failure of biological and geotechnical materials, earthquakes and electronic packaging. ICF14 will comprise of invited lectures by eminent academics from around the world together with contributed oral and poster presentations covering all aspect of fracture and fatigue. During the conference special symposia covering major areas of research activity organized by members of the Scientific Advisory Board will take place.

Papers presented in ICF14 which are focused on structural mechanics studies, will be considered for publication in Challenge Journal of Structural Mechanics. Authors may submit their full length papers via online submission system or send to cjsmec@challengejournal.com via e-mail. Regarding to the count and the diversity of the studies, papers will be published in a special issue or in the regular issues in an appropriate calendar.
